This was one of my favorite projects to work on. This artwork was a collaboration between my brother (also a multi-discipline artist, definitely more talented than I am) and myself. The series was all about the “Fruit of the Spirit” (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, and Self Control). My brother created a series of pictograms that use abstract geometry for each of the fruit. After providing me with the line art renderings of the pictograms, I then added color, texture, and used the pictograms to create a tree.
We also took the pictograms and made a large poster which was printed, framed, and given as a giveaway to congregants who showed up to a 12 session mid-week study about the series.
The bumper video was created by me, and is a very simple animation of all of the pictograms, finally revealing the orchard tree at the end.
