Good Grief (with Video)

This graphic was used during a series leading from Ash Wednesday (the start of Lent) through Easter Sunday. While I did create the graphics and video for this sermon series, one of the more exciting parts of the project was the large mosaic of Jesus’ face that my creative team assembled. I wrote the language for a meditative prompt each of the Sundays in the series, and each week we invited the congregation to come to tables and engage with the prompts by lighting candles of various colors. At the end of the series, on Easter Sunday, we used the same types of candles to create a giant mosaic image of the face of Christ. The mosaic design was created by one of my team members, and I coordinated the construction of it.

The graphic and bumper were both made by me. While the animation was supported by a template from Envato, the bumper music was written and performed by me. While I don’t typically write the music for my animation projects, I’d just gotten a new baritone guitar and wanted to goof off a little.
